Woking - The U.K. Community Issues Party Boycott of the General Election on 6th May 2010 in the constituency of Woking .
The U.K. Community Issues Party has decided to Boycott the General Election on 6th May 2010 and will not be fielding any candidates in the constituency of Woking due to our mounting concerns as follows:-
1. Woking Borough Council has failed to comply with our requests for up to date information under the Freedom of Information Act and as a result we are overwhelmingly disadvantaged.
We rely upon Woking Borough Council to provide correct information, inevitably sometimes requests are repeated due to changes in council activities, decisions and spending. We need to ensure we have the up to date information including changes to figures and information the council has not previously complied with.
2. Woking Borough Council have not provided us with some of the information requested with regard to our concerns surrounding the 2005 General Election
We will be contacting the U.K. Human Rights Commission and the Minister for Justice - The State Party (U.K) has an obligation under the international law and convention on Civil and Political Rights.
The U.K. Community Issues Party expresses our right to: -
( i)   Freedom of expression. This right shall include freedom to hold opinions and to receive and impart information and ideas without interference by public authority and regardless of frontiers.
(ii)   Freedom of thought. This right includes freedom of belief either alone or in a community with others and in public or private, to manifest belief, practice and observance.
(iii)   Freedom of peaceful assembly and association with others .
The U.K. Community Issues Party aim to stand in Elections and campaign for Reform in all Public Services and the Justice System so that openness, honesty, accountability, fairness and the truth are integral and fundamental and natural processes of all local and central government bodies.
We believe that the public have the right to know the full details of costs throughout our public services and the details should be readily available including details of all privileges, salaries, allowances, and pensions and money spent on proposals and use of Legal Departments and our elected M.P.s

The U. K. Community Issues Party boycotted the Local Election on 1st May 2008 and did not field any candidates in any wards in the constituency of Woking. We wish to draw attention to
The fact that Woking Borough Council failed to comply with our requests for up to date information, under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, dated 20th December 2007 and our amended request; Please click to see letter to Mr R Morgan, Chief Executive, WBC, dated 4 th February 2008
Please read a copy of our letter to Ray Morgan, Chief Executive, WBC, dated 24/04/08 regarding our boycott of the local election 2008 , click here to read more .

We believe it is in the public interest to call for a public Independent Investigation into : -
1.   The Waste Plant Proposals for Monument Way in Maybury and Heather Farm in Horsell with all the costs being made public.
2.   All Complaints to Woking Borough Council over the last 7 years and an investigation of the complaints system and complaints being passed to the legal dept.
3.   The Information withheld from the public and individuals.
4.  Allegations of treating in local elections and the General Election in 2005. The council confirmed we believe that 47 marked registers from the General Election in   2005 are missing, which covered all the wards in the Woking Parliamentary constituency
5.   Approval of a loan of £400,000 for Thameswey.
6.   Almost £1.2 million of taxpayers' money spent without authorisation on a Canopy.
-
Allegations of Possible Treating by Prospective Candidates. see email dated 27/03/07 from Mr Ray Morgan, Chief Executive of Woking Borough Council
-
In August 2007 Mr Morgan approved a loan of £400,000 for Thameswey without the correct approval. Almost £1.2 million of taxpayers' money was spent without authorisation on a Canopy the second time such a mistake has been made within five months.
