|
| We
believe that the rights of patients should be firmly established
with public funding made available, sufficient to meet all the
health needs of the nation, with the private sector being available
as an additional choice for those who wish to pay over and above
their tax contribution to the NHS and not as an alternative
form of health care. |
| Help
us to challenge the medical system and to eliminate inequalities
in health. |
| To
ensure an adequate distribution of resources throughout the
NHS and the distribution of drugs being available to all. |
| Support
should be improved for the many relatives
doing the caring
and looking after the elderly, frail and disabled people in
their own homes and taking the burden off the state. |
| Support
for
mental health
parity so that coverage for serious mental illnesses is provided
on the same terms and conditions as other illnesses and diseases.
|
| Support
with Disabilities: the importance of strong protection
for minority communities in our society and better enforcing
of the Disabilities Act so that future generations with disabilities
have equal rights and opportunities. |
| Support
for Autism with more funding to help autistic people
and their families understand Autism.
A complex neurobiological condition that has a range of impacts
on thinking, feeling, language, and the ability to relate to
others. As diagnostic criteria broaden and awareness increases,
more cases of autism have been recognized across the country
with more research needed on the affects
on autistic individuals, their families, loved ones, the community
and education and health care systems. |
